It will be very appreciated if someone can help – how to render HD file in Vegas?
Before i always worked with AVI DV template for 720×576.
Now my project settigs is: 1440×1080, 25fps, Ratio 1,333, progressive.
What is the best render settings? I’m on Vegas 10 32-bit. I want to get final file AVI 1440×1080, not very compressed, but not too big.
Project length is 5:49, and i want to get it not bigger than 3-4 Gb. How can i render for the best quality/size, which codec will be the best?
And should i tick “do not letterbox” when rendering? I’d like player show the real proportional video afterwards.
    Thanks!

I don’t believe you want AVI. HDV is MPEG2. I would render back to MainConcept MPEG2 using one of the HDV templates that match your source.

Also, how are you going to deliver the file? It you plan to burn it to Blu-ray you want to use one of the Blu-ray templates instead.

    Thank you so much, John!
I made it as .m2t file with MainConcept MPEG2 and it works perfectly!
I’m very new with HDV, but i’ve got so short time to make this video, so now i know a lot 😉
    Thank you!
