Is there a way to make media auto load on new project
Posted by David Taveira on August 20, 2011 at 3:23 pmI want a image for my videos to automatically just load in to my Project Media when I make a new Sony Vegas project. Is there any way to do this?

Vegas doesn’t do this. Since it has no notion of a “project folder” it couldn’t possibly know what files you want to load anyway.
The VASST Ultimate S Pro plug-in has the ability to load the project media from a folder on your file system. It creates the entire folder structure as media bins so that your files are in the same bins in your Vegas project as they are in folders on your hard drive.

Only if you don’t mind launching Vegas from the Production Assistant launcher. I felt that PA was overkill for just this one function since it seems like David just wants to launch Vegas with the media bins pre-populated. But yes, PA could do this too (and a whole lot more).
