    Hi guys,

    I’m trying to get multi-cam to work. It was working a few days ago….My machine locks up/freezes, and I have to exit Vegas.

    1. Control A to get my clips in line – TWO tracks of Video – One Audio
    2. Tools – Multicam>> Create Multicam Track
    3. System FREEZES

    Window 7 Vegas Pro 10E

    What should I do?

    Thanks,

    thomas

    I have also just recently updated to Vegas Pro 10e, build 738, 64 bit, running in a Windows 7 (Home Premium) environment. I am suddenly having the same problem as thomas, program locks up and I can’t recover anything since my last save. I did not have this problem before the update. My video is an hour long with multiple tracks, but the length and complexity don’t seem directly related to the freeze, as it was happening since the start of the project and doesn’t get worse or better as it takes on more instructions. This problem mostly seems to occur when I need to redo an edit point, or if I navigate away from a pause point, even just by a few ssecondfs. I get the impression that there’s a data overload, but this type of project was what I was doing regularly and never experienced a lockup/freeze until this version. I am hoping others are experiencing the same thing so that the Vegas team will take a look at it and issue a new update soon. It’s really quite frustrating to lose a chunk of creative effort because I wasn’t saving often enough, and going through the multiple restarts necessary to keep editing.

    I fixed the issue. I had a free/open video track on my timeline. Deleted that open video track and problem solved…. I am now able to edit in Multi-track with no issues

    User error 🙂

    Thomas, Very good that you were able to solve the cause of your freeze problem. I don’t have the same issue, I guess, but do have the same symptom. I have 2 HD tracks along with one track of inserted photos, and 2 tracks for titling and title backgrounds, Sony derived within Vegas. I think my problem relates more to some kind of overload, but never had this before the current version. I have plenty of drive space left and 8 gigs of ram running. Maybe I’ll search for others with this issue, locking up. I can’t be the only one. :{
