  I have AE 5.5 and looking to buy the new quad core mac pro would this application work on that computer since the software is so old?

  Best to check with Adobe’s marketing site for AE and run a search on the AE forum at Adobe. Don’t just post the question, try searching first since you’ve already posted it here.

  Should work fine if it will work in OS10. If you need OS9, all bets are off. Time to upgrade, you’re going to love CS4.

  i searched and some say it will work but only on one processor and some say it will not power pc programs will not work. has anybody hear tried this?

  There is your answer: “No.”
  Logically, any question that cannot return an answer of YES for every test has a steady state of NO.

  If “no” is not good enough for you, you buy the machine and find out for youself.
