    Hi,

    First off all, I dont know if this is the right forum for my question. But I post it anyway.

    I am trying to create an arm witch is connected to a pencil.

    The problem is that I need a specific movement. The pen wil emit particles and it’s going to be moving around. But the sholder should be staying at its position with every movement.

    Is there a way to get the sholder (body) fixed at its position and only let it rotate around the pivot depending on the position of the upper and lower arm?

    I hope my problem is clear. I could explain in perfectly in dutch but you guys wouldnt understand that haha.

    This is called “Inverse kinematics”.
    You can’t get it straight in AE, but I recommend you take a look at:
