OT…using Canopus DV card with WIN 7
Well I got my new VEGAS computer put together and all is running great. The only problem so far that I ran into is the fact that there are no WIN 7 drivers for the Canopus ACEDVio card which I use as my DV to analog out to my video monitor (not PC monitor). There is a work-around which I found here in case any of you have ran into the same problem.

It’s as simple as changing the driver to the legacy driver.

Thanks for letting us know. Too bad there isn’t a way to make a stickey or add to a FAQ. But at least it should be available should someone search.

I’m in the exact same position.
I’ve/I’d thought that I’d thought this through, and came to the conclusion that if I’d ever needed to capture DV tape I’d use the now to be redundant PC to do it. I had NOT remembered that I now use one of the ACEDVio ports as an analogue stream out to my JVC CRT 15″ 700 line colour correcting/grading monitor!!!!
This was a very timely post of yours and potentially a life saver too. As the link says, this card still has much work to do.
Very helpful post and a cracking good link too. All I need to do is to withdraw the ACEDVio card from Pc A and insert in Pc B.

I still see these cards for sale under the name Grass Valley (Canopus)…but do state in the specifications that the supported operating systems go up to XP Pro. I am surprised that the company has not came up with updated drivers. I am assuming that Grass Valley bought out Canopus. I see that they still have this card listed on their website

but even there it states WIN 2000 or XP in the system requirements, but not WIN 7.
