I just purchased & installed the update from Vegas Studio HD Platinum 10 to version 11. I had really hoped that when version 11 came out, it would adopt the multicamera view of Pro for 2 camera edits but no luck (it’s the biggest feature I need to make my two camera edits easier). I still decided to buy the upgrade because I heard the trimming function was improved. However, I can’t figure out how to get the Trimmer window on the screen at the same time as the Project Media window like I could in version 10. I liked to have the Project Media, Trimmer, & Project Preview windows all open simultaneously. Now, it seems I can only have Project Media OR Trimmer open. And if I select to show the Trimmer window on my other monitor, no trimmer controls are shown (perhaps a monitor display issue cropping the bottom). Does anyone know if it’s possible to get the trimmer window at the same time as Project Media window? If not, I guess I’ll just have to get used to it.

I have also read that rendering is slower in Version 11 so I’m wondering why I spent the money. I have no interest in the 3D additions. I read somewhere that I might have to tweak some internal settings so that my CPU assumes the processing rather than the GPU (my CPU is much better than my graphics card).

    Tx, Rick

Hi! I have the very same problem! Have you found a way of solving it yet?

Choose “View” in the menu bar and mark the features in the drop-down list that you want to add. Then grab the dots at the upper left corner of the tab with your mouse pointer, and drag the tab to the right and drop where you want them to be.

    Prob. solved!
