  Rendering question

  Just got a new Sony HDR V1U and not sure about the best rendering settings. I’m shooting 1440/1080, 29FPS. Data rate 25000. Bit rate 384. Total bitrate 25384. Does anyone have any suggestions. Right now im just rendering .AVI – NTSC DV Widescreen but do not feel like the quality is there. At the same time would like to try to avoid huge files…any insights out there would be much appreciated!

  Your downconverting to SD. What are you going to be playing the video on?

  Just for the web. Use Sorenson Squeeze to convert rendered .avi to flv or mpeg4’s…
