Vegas 10 Constant Crashing
Hey all. I do mostly audio post (in SAWSTudio), and this was my first time doing an actual video project in Vegas 10(c). It was a school project for my daughter that incorporated a number of clips of varying formats and sizes from cell phones and digital cameras, as well as audio clips of varying format and sample rate. Constant and unpredictable spontaneous reboots of my system, which is a core i7 running XP pro, both during playback and rendering. I converted all the audio to 48k wav files and replaced. No change. I removed all of one type of video clip and successfully rendered, so I converted all those clips to uncompressed avi and replaced. Still crashing. We finally got the project finished by rendering to uncompressed avi in a number of short segments, then marrying them together in a new project before creating an mp4 version for YouTube. I’m at a loss as to where to look for the problem. Is there some common system setting that can cause this type of behavior?
