  Vegas pre-rendered files

  Recently finished a 30 min infomercial. Some clips HD, some SD, some color corrected. When I add an 800 number and print to tape, Vegas must pre-render most of the 30 min production to print a widescreen standard def tape. This takes about 30 – 45 mins due to the different format scaling and the color correction.

  The problem I’m having is.. Vegas wants to re-render the entire 30 mins everytime I call up the project and change the phone number which only involves about 6 mins of the entire program.

  How can I save the pre-rendered files so that when I call up the timeline to print another tape it would only have to re-render the section that has actually changed?

  Actually, the pre-renderd files are saved in the pre-render folder, it’s just that they are no longer being used on the timeline. How can I import them to the timeline so that I don’t have to start all over every time?

  Render to new track will fix this for you.
