    when is it the best time to do this in your workflow

    say I want to use a majic bullet effect.. do I stabilize after or before.. does it matter? thanks..

    I recommend stabilising before for a few reasons.

    When you add stabilisation some of the dark colours are lifted in the event. I don’t quite understand why this happens, but it does anyway, so you would have to correct this after stabilising.

    Also, you generally want to have all of your shots cut as you like them before you start colour correcting!

    Stabilize First,
    Then render out and drop back on your timeline for any
    further editing.
