  • Adding something more at the beginning of the video

So, I almost finished this video, but I realized I want to add a short intro. The problem is, obviously, that my video starts right from the beginning of the timeline and I can’t move it because I matched everything too well. Is there a way I don’t know about to introduce smth at the beginning? Or maybe group all the clips, everything I made, and move it like a big piece or smth?

Just activate ripple edit (in the toolbar) for all tracks regions and markers. Then you can insert anything at the beginning and all events, markers regions etc will move automaticly.
(it is always very good to make a backup file first…)

You can use the “selection edit tool” and grab all your events. “cntrl g” will group all of the events and then you can move them all together as long as you DO NOT have the “ignore event grouping” click (all these tools are at the top of the screen under the drop down menus.
If you are using envelopes be sure to have lock “envelopes to events” selected under options.

    Good Luck

You can also place the timeline cursor at the start of the timeline, select all of the tracks (Ctrl+A) and then use the menu item Insert | Time and specify the amount of time to insert. Everything will move to the right to make room for the insert.

One more option is to create a new project and nest your current project in it, following your new intro.
