    Good morning All

Has anyone ever done this: decide that they are gonna FINALLY tackle Pro Titler? You watch a GREAT tutorial and then start to create something simple. Only, you kinda like what you did and then realize that the font was itty? Can someone help me past the moment the tutorial ended? I would appreciate it quite a bit.

Just go back into editing the text, select it all, and change the font to whatever you want it to be.

Again, thank you. I just tried that and it worked (I thought I was doing just that at home over the weekend, but these results show me that I wasn’t). A couple of quick ones also related to Pro Titler. How do you add a few seconds to the end of the title? When I add time it also changes my keyframe points. Lastly, where do I start the process of changing the color of my fonts using the titler? Am I correct in assuming that I can also use the edit text option for this as well?

[James Donovan] “How do you add a few seconds to the end of the title? When I add time it also changes my keyframe points.”

Yea, you have to manually move the keyframes back where they were. It would be nice if there was an option to move them or not but the defaults is that when you lengthen the title it lengthen’s the keyframes to make the animation timing fit the new duration.

Yes, while editing the text, switch to the Style tab and you’ll see the font color along with other font attributes.

Thanks again. I have applied everything you’ve explained to me today and all is well – except for one thing. When I go in to edit my text (a simple keyframed color change), the entire workspace screen in titler turns red. I’ve checked to make sure i’m changing the stroke and not the background, but red is what I get. Have you ever seen this?

Red is usually the color Vegas uses when it’s running out of resources. Do you have enough memory in your computer?

The system has enough resources, but I think this issue of ‘everything turning red’ is in some way related to the multiple effects (fades, degaussing, etc.) being used on the specific block of letters i’m referring to. I started another project from scratch and used only 1 letter to see if I could recreate my problem. I could not. So I then removed every effect from the project I initially wrote about and then applied the color change. Perfect! I then went back to add the effects that I removed. STILL perfect! Again, Sir, you are the Man. Imagine the surprise when I found the Vegas Pro 8 editing manual a couple of days ago (I wasn’t kidding when I said that I am the newest of the newbies) and saw that you are prominently featured. Small world. Enjoy your weekend.
