April 12, 2011 at 2:23 amAs Steve pointed out, the easiest way is to drop your entire project into another project just like any piece of media, and it will be seen as a single event on one track. This is called “Nesting Timelines” in the help file.

Maybe you aren’t asking the right question. What are you trying to accomplish?

April 12, 2011 at 1:17 pmThanks all 🙂
I had 2 Sony Vegas’ running at the same time, one had an intro, and the other had the main material for my project, I was trying to bring the intro into the main part of my film but I didn’t know how it would work out with the amount of video and audio tracks I had. Hope you understand me :S

April 12, 2011 at 1:58 pmAs you read, Simply save your intro as a vegas file.
and then in your main project, just import the intro
vegas file and drop it where you want it on the timeline.

April 12, 2011 at 2:17 pmAs Steve said, just drag and drop your intro .veg file from the explorer as if it were any other piece of media and it wil behave like a single piece of media in the project. I do this with all of my intros.
BTW, you can right-click on the veg file once it’s in the project and select an option to Open the Project and it will start a new instance of Vegas and open the intro project so that you can make changes. When you’re done, you just save it, and the Vegas timeline will be updated in the master project to reflect the changes.
Nested projects is a powerful feature in Vegas Pro.
