adding many images synced to music – MTV style
Posted by Gilles Gagnon on April 7, 2011 at 5:19 pmHi,
What’s the simplest way to add many jpgs to the timeline such that they will be in sync with the audio/music track? I’m looking for fast cuts MTV style (I also have Ultimate 4 if that makes things easier)
Cheers,
Gilles

April 7, 2011 at 8:02 pmIf you have Ultimate S, use the Photo tab, turn off transitions and zooms, then import to markers at the beats.
One thing you can do is to set markers for the first few beats of the song and then look at the time between markers. This will tell you how far apart to set the markers.
Frankly, I *always* set the markers, but I play the music at double speed to save time. Then import images or video to markers.
I’m assuming you understand the basics of US4, if you need more info…let us know.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMwlBqFG9rY

April 8, 2011 at 4:14 amDouglas, that will work if everything has a regular beat. Some modern music is, well, modern, so some matching by hand may be necessary.
But good tip.

April 8, 2011 at 10:52 amThanks Douglas! That’ll work.
What if I want to go back/forth quickly between images… strobe-like effect?
