  Best Resolution??

  I have always used NTSC DV 720×480 square pixels for the simple fact that it seems like most projects are done at this size and this was the size I learned AE on.

  I need the best possible resolution for a project that will be output to a DVD and shown on a widescreen monitor. I was thinking about setting up this animation on NTSC D1 Widescreen Square because the Quicktime output test showed up the best on my 24inch widescreen monitor. I am setting up my PSD work files at 872×486, 72pixel resolution.

  Does this sound right for what I am trying to do? I couldn’t find much information about NTSC D1 Widescreen and was hoping someone could broaden my knowledge on resolution. Help is much appreciated.

  And PS has DV widescreen presets also…
