  Can you change which section highlights after split?

  When a clip is split, it always highlights the section of the clip after the cursor. Is there a way to have it highlight the section before the cursor so I can just press delete instead of clicking on it to highlight it first?

  Yea, this is just the behavior. When you split a clip, it highlights the new clip.

  I’m guessing that this is the nature of film and video editing. We are always moving the story along to the ‘Right’. Anything to the ‘Left’ is before the fact.
