    Hi guys,

I am editing a no budget film. Takes are sometimes better than others, so because my footage is 1440×1080 and my project is 720×576 Widescreen I decided to crop some of them, just to make it really horizontal or to keep out from undesired elements of the set.

The thing is that I have the feeling that, sometimes, the output video of this takes is a little bit blurry, although I never resize to less than 720×576.

Another thing thats annoying me is when I look to the crop size info and I see fractions of pixel in the x/y position or wide/length. How is that posssible?

Is that info reliable or should I try to manually get non fractional values?

    Help will be really appreciated.

I simply crop by eye, never worked about the moths and not had any problems.

You could put a slight sharpen filter on.

Depending on your preview settings, the output video may appear a bit blurry when you are editing/previewing your project. When you render your project at Good or Best quality the output should be cleaner and sharper, unless the source footage isn’t particularly sharp to start with.
