  Clamp video highlights at 100 ire

  What is an easy way to simulate an analog video proc amp to limit highlight to 100% so I can bring up the brightness in the midtones. Is there a video event FX that will do the trick? I’ve already played with color curves. Not quite there yet.

  Sony Levels is the filter you need to use for each event. Get up the Vector Scopes and use the waveform monitor. you should have stuff touching 100 (black) and 0 (white). Google for ‘sony vegas scope levels’.
