I am trying to figure this out. I am editing a project that I previously added markers to. Now I need to add new markers between the old ones I already have. The problem is that whenever I add a new marker, say between existing markers 3 and 4 (and I have a total of 25 markers) the new marker between 3 and 4 will be 26.

How do I make it so that if I want to add a new marker all the other markers will change to reflect the new marker. For example, I add a new marker between markers 3 and 4, and the new marker becomes 4 and all the following markers change sequentially. I use an audio editor (Sonar 7 Producer) that automatically changes all the post markers. Can this be done in Sony Vegas Pro 9?

    Thank you for your time.

As you have seen, Vegas doesn’t do this automatically. What you have to do is open View | Edit Details, select show Markers and highlight the upper left corner and use Ctrl+C to copy. Then select all of the markers in your project and delete them. Finally, paste them back into Edit Details and they will get renumbered.

You can also use a script to do this. VASST Ultimate S Lite and Ultimate S Pro have this capability.
