Im using vegas 10 build 170 windows 7 64 bit.

How do I make the displayed timecode (using timecode fx) not reset to zero after a split?

How do I make the displayed timecode (using timecode fx) not lose 2 seconds if I delete a 2 second selection of material?

I believe this is a bug in Vegas Pro 10 with the timecode plug-in. Normally you would add it to the media and it would display the media’s timecode but this bug causes it to reset at the beginning of every event. Hopefully Sony will fix it in the next update.

    John is correct.
The bug showed up in 10.0b of the 32-bit version and wasn’t fixed in 10.0c.
SInce I need correct timecode on a lot of my material, I rolled back to 10.0a where it works properly.

I have VP9 but I think this work-around will work in VP10. Just create a new track and insert an Empty Event to the lenght needed and then apply the time code fx to it. Hope that helps.
