How do you create an image mask in After Effects? Basically I want to take the alpha information from one clip, invert it, and apply that to another clip. It’s so easy in Motion.

    Thanks.

I guess I figured out one way – auto tracing the source layer, then copying and inverting the mask onto the destination layer.

I think that you want to use a track matte.

Yes, thank you, track matte is exactly it. Invert alpha matte. Works.
