rendering different ‘episodes’ for one dvd
Hello everyone,
I’m new to Sony Vegas and DVD Architect (as well as this forum), and I’m in need of help.Before I waste a bunch of time and dvds on ‘trial and error’, I figured I’d ask someone who KNOWS.
I need to render six separate ‘episodes’ for DVD Architect, so I can make dvds.
I want all 6 episodes to still be recognized as separate episodes in the dvd’s main menu.
The problem is, I don’t want to have to render each episode separately because it’s tedious.
Is it possible to render them all at once (perhaps as one big project), but still have them show up as separate episodes?I’m familiar with creating chapter markers, but this doesn’t seem to be what I need. I hope I’m making sense.
Again, the programs I’m using are Sony Vegas 10 and DVD Architect.

Yes you can render them all at once and create separate buttons in DVD Architect to play just each episode.
To do this:
- Drag the movie onto the main menu and let DVD Architect create the first button for you.
- Then cut and paste the button that is created until you have one for each episode.
- Finally, double-click on each button to open the movie and set the IN and OUT points to just the episode you’d like to play.
Each button will now play just that one episode from the IN point and return to the menu when it hits the OUT point.

One more question:
If someone wanted to rip one of the titles from my dvd, would they be able to do it or would they have to rip the entire dvd? -

They would have to rip the entire DVD because the titles are not real movies, they are chapters within a single movie. Of course if the ripper allowed them to rip individual chapters, then they could just rip the chapter they want.
