rendering quality – avi and mpg
Hi,
I have a problem concerning rendering quality.
I’ve always used .wmv format due to its superb quality and low size.
Now I’m try to upload my footage to shutterstock and they unfotunatelly don’t accept wmv format. ONly
avi and mpg is acceptable.
However output quality using standard Sony vegas codecs is very poor – either blurring edges or veeeery big size of the output file.What should I use ?
How I can change/update codecs to my Vegas ? I’m using 9.0 version, today I downloaded the 10 version with no change – it’s using the same codecs as the 9.0

Shutterstock accepts DV files, WMV files, MOV files, MPEG, and AVI. And they accept the following codecs: Motion JPG, Mpeg-4, and DVSD, DVC and DVCP. You can find that information here under “Submitting Footage”.

thx for reply . But Shutterstock REJECTED few days ago my .wmv file created with Windows Media Video V11, using Template named 3Mbps Video which uses WMA 9.2 codec !!!

Even though they accept those file formats, it doesn’t mean they have to approve your clip for sale on their site. If it is shaky (no tripod) or of a low quality or not white balanced or the highlights are blown out, etc. they can and will reject your clip.
You may want to inquire as to why they chose to reject your clip.

Hi,
I know that, since I’m a very experienced photo-submitter on SS for 2 years.
My footage were not even reviewed, because they were rejected after uploading.
Already sent an inquiry on this matter to shutterstock… -
You may very well know that, but I didn’t know that about you and was ensuring that the basics were covered.
If they say they take wmv and you submitted wmv, then the reasons listed are the only ones they state will keep your video footage from being accepted.
