    Hi!

I have a little problem. I want my videos to look sharp and great on youtube. I have Canon 550d/T2i, and i love it.
I have seen a LOT videos filmed with 550d which are lot sharper and nicer than mine.

    Heres an example:

Same camera, SAME rendering/project settings i have, but still a lot sharper and better quality:

My video, same camera same rendering/project settings but more blur and not so nice looking:

Only thing i did different than dave dugdale was that my pixel format is 8bit, not 32, and that i rendered 1080p, not 720p. Is the pixel format important?

Could this be about picture styles or something? I think he filmed that video with standard picture style, just like i filmed that video i linked.

Im getting really tired of getting worse quality than others. Please someone explain how could i get the best possible quality to Youtube?

    Thanks!
    -Sami

Well, it looks like he is using more light than you are. His scene is brightly lit with daylight and yours is darker with incandescent lights which are warmer and more yellow/orange. More light usually gives a better picture (digital cameras are very sensitive to light).

Also it looks like he has his camera way far back and he’s zooming in to get that nice depth of field which makes him look sharper than the background which may be why you think his video is sharper than yours.

What you should do is forget about uploading 1080p. Shoot your video with more light and more depth of field. Then render your videos to 720p using the Sony AVC codec using the Internet 1280×720-30p template (or adjust that to 24p if that’s what you’re shooting) and your video should look better.

And also added to the excellent recommendations John gave you…
Add a bit of “color correction“.
