I have Waves audio plug ins and for some reason the 64 bit version doesn’t see them. How do I get Vegas to see them. I know this has been answered in the past, but I cannot find the post. I tried to have Vegas look in numerous folders under VST in preferences, but that has not worked so far…please advise!
    Thanks!

    Are they 64-bit plug-ins?
    If not, that’s your problem.

No they are not 64bit plug ins, but I do remember a post stating that the are usable for the 64bit version of Vegas….here’s hoping!

Nope. That won’t work. 64-bit Vegas requires 64-bit plug-ins. None of my 32-bit VST plug-ins show up in the 64-bit version of Vegas.

    Hi Scott,

Could you please elaborate as to what waves plugins you have?
What VST plugin folder have you installed the waveshells to? for example “c:/program files/vst plugins”
do the plugins show up in other vst hosts like cubase etc?

I suspect that the vst versions of the plugins dont have the correct permissions in the registry. this is the case with version 5 of the mercury bundle on vista and win 7. 32 bit vegas will see the dx versions but 64Bit vegas can only access the VST version of the plugin.

All my 32bit waves plugins show up perfectly in Vegas 10 x64

Vegas, like Premiere, does not handle VST Shell used by Waves.
You can try my freeware VSTWrapperBuilder to get rid of this issue.
