GOPro HD + Vegas 10 Plat + Bluray disks = what render?
Hi All,
Sorry for another ‘render’ question, but I just got Vegas 10 Platinum and I am so confused by the multitudes of rendering options. I don’t see one that specifies ‘GoPro’! LOLI’m on an I7 system, Win7 x64, 8gb ram, and loads of hard drive space. I plan on burning my creation onto a BluRay disk, dual layer 50gb if needed.
The GoPro is MP4 h.264 files, and I run the 1080 setting. In Vegas, I matched my project to the video files from the GoPro (and selected use this for all projects!). I’ve even converted them to Cineform Neoscene AVI files. (do I match to the Cineform AVI or original MP4 files?)
I’ve gone thru and edited my ‘movie’ – added the music, graphics, photos and so on. My plan is to make a Blu-Ray disk complete with menus, a slideshow, chapter selection, and even a production notes screen all within DVD Architect
Now comes my question (Finally!) – what render option do I use?!? I’ve made numerous test renders with a 1 minute loop from the movie. But good grief there are a lot of options!!! It’ll take me forever to test them all. I’ve read that MainConcept MPEG-2 is the one to use, another is Sony AVC. But then you get into 60i or 24p -then if you go into the CUSTOM button, even MORE options…. I-Frames, B-Frames, Field orders, constant rates, variable rates, two pass… my head hurts.
I’m good at shooting video, but this is driving me nuts. If anyone can shed some light for me I would GREATLY appreciate it. Help?
