Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8.0 – Full Screen on Youtube
Hi guys!
So I come to you with a little problems I’ve been trying to figure out. I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8.0 and previously thought I couldn’t get full screen videos on youtube. Then, a few of the videos I uploded on to youtube turned out full screen. I didn’t change any of my setting, nothing changed and yet it uploaded full screen. Then I tried using the same project with different clip and it didn’t upload full screen. Then, a few other projects had one-hit fullscreen apperances too and I was just wondering why that is- is there a way to get full screen everytime with 8.0???

Are you working with SD or HD? You should keep your project the same size as your output resolution if you don’t want any surprises when rendering.

It seems that it’s impossible to predetermine what YouTube will do to a project when they “process” you video [I.E., re-encode].
I would upload some proof videos for a client to review, and the same basic videos would sometimes be offered in 1080p and sometimes only in 720p.
You just send your best quality video to You Tube and hope for the best.

Actually, if you use the Sony AVC type with the Internet 16:9 HD 30p template, you get reliable high quality YouTube videos.

As I said – “Usually”.
Most of the time I can get 720p from You Tube, occasionally, 1080p. All from the same video source – with minor edite between them.Steve Mann
