I inserted a JPEG for background media for DVD Arch.
    It automatically inserted centered.
I am wondering if there is a way to adjust the picture so it is off to the side rather than right in the middle?
I see where I can crop it, but not where I can move it.

You can’t set it off-center, but you can easily open up an image editor and do as you wish with the image (off set it with a white background, fade it with another image or color, etc.).

Once you make the modification in an image editor you can then open it right up in DVDA and have it look just how you want.

Or, use a neutral background and then on the DVDA menu, ‘Insert’, ‘Graphic’ and place the graphic where you want it on the menu screen.

A DVDA Background is a fixed graphic asset. We can manipulate it away from DVDA and then re-import it. But as far as DVDA is concerned it is a fixed item. On the other hand, graphics that we want to regard as a background, to a complex set of layers is a separate group of assests, and as such, there are a few valuable controls available within DVDA that allow us to do some amazing, creative things with them.

I realise that this has been reffered to above by our two colleagues, but I wanted to underline the DVDA paradigm that is in place and why to you/me/others it may appear awkward.

What would be really neat for DVDA would be for the Menu structure to recognise and make use of PSD layers. I could do some really neat stuff if that was the case. I know there is an option to do the Button PSD thing, but my wish is for the way in which VEGAS now deals with PSD layers to be transferred to DVDA. Now THAT would be great!

    Grazie
