    I’m working with some clips I have recorded using fraps and the idea is that I want to get something similar to the intro of this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSNwFMBHmAY

    Now of course I can mask out the weapon and such manually by hand, but I wonder if there’s anyway to speed up the process. Maybe by using 2 different clips with the same weapon but different backgrounds and then somehow mask out the differences between the clips?

    Yes, if you had a static background and the same background with a moving foreground object, you could use the DIFFERENCE Mode

    Does it work with a almost static background? Like if i were to run into the wall the wall would be static but the head-bobbing would cause some movement?

    No, when the background is moving, you are lost…
