Copy from Vegas 10 to Vegas 9
How can I copy clips from Vegas 10 to Vegas 9. I want to take advantage of the video stabilisation in Vegas 10, but my computer (Quadcore Q6600, 4Mbit RAM – but 32 bit windows Vista) seems to be too slow to render everything well in Vegas 10. I tried to copy a clip, but only the video is copied, no audio, even if I select both. When I try to copy a second clip, copy and paste doesn’t work anymore.

If it’s not a terribly complex edit, try exporting an EDL from Vegas 10, importing in Vegas 9. The best kind of EDL export in Vegas is AAF. You should be able to “Save As..” your project as an .aaf file, read it back in Vegas 9.
Fire up Vegas Help and search on .aaf for the limitations of the interchange format.

You might want to seriously consider upgrading to 64-bit Windows 7. You are limiting your hardware and will probably see an improvement in Vegas with the speed and added memory that Win7 64-bit will make available.
Otherwise open two copies of Vegas and Ctrl+A to select all from one and Ctrl+V to paste into the other.

I fully agree, but re-installing all programs is such a lot of work (if they still work after all after the upgrade)
As far as copy/paste is concerned, it seems that copying (or importing .aaf) removes the stabilisation when going from Vegas 10 to Vegas 9, so I guess I will have to do a render after stabilisation and then put the rendered event on the time line.

Considering that Vegas Pro 9 doesn’t have the stabilization plug-in, this is to be expected.
