  HDD format doubts

  I’m waiting for a couple of WD RE3 1TB hard disks.
  They will be used only for videos: m2t, mpg, DV avi, cineform HD etc.
  If I will use them singularly, which is the best allocation unit to format them with?
  And if I will put them in a raid 0 array?

  Fabio,

  I I were using them for only really big files, I would format using as large of an allocation unit as possible. Up to the cache size of 16 or 32 MB. (Check on your model)
