  • What to convert video to going to Blueray

I have a video that Vegas shows as 960x540x24. It has 29.97fps. My assumption to be BlueRay compatible was to go to 1280x720x24 but that is 23.975 Film rate according to the specs. What am I supposed to select in vegas to make this video compliant to be burned on Blueray? And no I don’t want to burn the originals direct, want it to have a menu system and the like.

    Thanks.

You can use MainConcept MPEG2 or Sony AVC. Both have Blu-ray templates but neither has 720p templates so you’ll have to modify one of the 1080i templates. Then you can create your audio stream using Dolby Digital AC-3. Most Blu-ray authoring programs will accept separate video and audio streams.
