  Vegas 9 / Vegas 10 support for Mackie Controllers?

  I’ve been trying to get Vegas 8 to run with my Mackie Controller (original version) for a long time now, with only limited success. I can set each Vegas audio channel to correspond to a Mackie channel, but can’t get the 2 to work so that in real-time, I can run a project and mix audio so that the “rubber band” for the appropriate track corresponds and is held in place. I just can’t seem to make it work.

  Vegas 10 is being promoted as “Record, monitor, and mix audio from external devices with Vegas Pro 10 projects” Anyone have any insight into this including perhaps better support for external devices such as a Mackie Controller?

  Does anyone know if Vegas 9 has better external device support than Vegas 8?

  Would going to Windows 7, 64bit running Vegas 9 give better results than Vegas 8?
