  Renders fast! But hangs at the end after file is already created.

  Hey guys, that’s the first time I work with HD video on a relatively complex AE project.

  Things are rendering just fine… But after it renders and creates the file it hangs in there for 2~3 minutes.

  I created a new project, put one of the videos in there and tried rendered a still, rendered and completed (beeped) in like 15~30 seconds.

  So I guess this post-render slowdown is due to the large amount of video and image files inside my Project.

  Is this a known glitch? Anyway to fix this?

  Do you have multiprocessing enabled? Sometimes I have had delays at the end of a render with this enabled. For short renders this bothers me but for renders lasting over an hour or something, hey, what’s another minute or two. I hear the beep after the delay but I thought I’d mention it anyway.

  Yeah beep is definitely after the delay, but for GRABS and not video files the file is ready to use before the beep.

  I DO have multiprocessor enabled… But I’m on 32-bit Vista so can’t use more than 2gb =/

  And that leaves me low mem. cache too as expected, gonna browse the forums on this now.
