How can I bring the audio files into Vegas?
I recorded some cassette tapes to CD with a Marantz CDR632. I copied them to D:\ and then drug them to the timeline in Vegas 9.0e x64. It says, “An error occurred when opening one of more files. The file is an unsupported format.”
When I right click the file in Explorer it says it is a CD Audio Track (.cda), 44 bytes. It also says the ‘Size on disk’ is 4.00 KB (4.096 bytes). That is a surprise, because I thought I had recorded .wav. When I turn the CD upside down, it appears to be about 2/3rds full (so maybe 400-500 MB?).
It opens with Windows Media Player just fine. I am assuming the .cda file is not the actual .wav file. How can I access the .wav file so I can edit it in Vegas?
