Can this kind of video be created using Sony Vegas?
Posted by Hariz Paddy on August 5, 2010 at 7:31 amI would like to know what software was used to create this video. Is it using Sony Vegas or Adobe premier or Apple final cut?
Regards

August 5, 2010 at 11:34 pmFirst, I don’t see any video. Were you planning to supply us with a link?
Second, it could be impossible to tell what NLE was used to edit a video since all NLE’s are essentially the same. Although Vegas can do 3D composition that Premiere and FCP can’t do but you could do in After Effects so once again… it’s impossible to tell short of having 3D object animation which no NLE can do without plug-ins… which are probably available for all three so once again… it’s impossible to tell. 😉
Now… If you want to know IF what’s in the video can be done in Vegas Pro, then post a link and we’ll take a look at it and see what it’s about.

I agree that this was probably done with After Effects. It could also easily be done with Vegas Pro.

Good question. For me it was the tool that I would use to do this. That’s not much to go on and it could have very well been done with another compositing package. The “wiggle” in the text made me also think AE because AE actually has a wiggle command for this kind of thing which makes it very easy to do.
Then again it could have been any compositing tool including Vegas Pro. If I was asked to do it, I would probably open AE and do it so I immediately think “that’s an AE job”.
