Get rid of outline of chroma keyed video clip
Can anyone tell me if/how there is a way to get rid of the outline around the original clip that has been chromakeyed? In other words, if the chromakeyed clip is in the middle of a background and doesn’t use the whole space–there is an visible black outline around the chromakeyed clip. Thank you in advance for any help with this matter.

Not without rotoscoping, which is very time consuming. unless there is no black in the clip except for the black outline. If that was the case, you could key out black. Do you have the original clip before the chromakey was done to it?

You can draw a mask around the chroma keyed clip in the Pan/Crop tool. As long as the object being keyed doesn’t go outside of the mask it should look fine. I mask out objects around my green screen like this all the time.
