I’ve been having an irritating problem where I want to do split screen, but not in the common pan & crop method that’ll immediatly pop into your mind. Instead of just having one full video on the left and another on the right, I want to zoom into the centre of each video and then move each left and right.

Using pan and crop for this, I don’t seem to be able to zoom into a section of a video without keeping the video itself in the centre of the display.

Just switch off the SIZE ABOUT CENTER button on the left side of the event pan/crop wondow (a kind of rectangle with a cross)

All this seemed to do was stop the pan/crop from being resized from the centre, but the opposite corner to which I started it. I’m wanting to move the centre of the actually video itself.

Edit: I’ve added an image to try explain this better. I want to move the picture so that half of it is outside the red box, so that I can zoom in on the green box and then move it to the red box. This red box would take up half of the split screen, with a different video of similar size in the other half.

Moving the event can be done in the track motion window. The button to open the track motion window can be found in the track header.
