  Sharing a plugin chain

  I have a set of five plugin configurations (a chain) that make a video game look far better than it did when it was captured. I’d like to share these settings.

  How can I share my levels, contrast, saturation adjust, etc. with other people? Is there a file I can distribute?

  You can save a FX chain in the Plug-in Chooser window which opens when you add the Video Event FX. Do not save the preset but use the SAVE AS button on the right side of this window. The plug-in chain will save as a SFV file in the FX packages folder. To use the package on the same computer, you can reach the package from the Plug-in Chooser window.
  To use it on a different computer, you can move the FX packages folder to this other computer. On my computer (Windows 7), this folder can be found in the folder C:\users\my name\AppData\Roaming\Sony\FX Packages\

  Download the free Sony Preset Manager. It is designed specifically to share presets and plug-in chains.

  I would not do what Theo suggests because it will not capture the presets that are used in the chain, some of which come from the windows registry and others require additional files from the file system. Also, Sony has changed their formats between releases so this is not guaranteed to work on all versions. The Preset Manager is the proper way to share presets and chains.
