  • Effect on whole project?

Posted by Ashley Smith on July 1, 2010 at 1:54 am

    Hi all.

I have a project that is made up of many video files with each file being edited in different ways. On one of the videos I added a chroma key effect but I think that I accidently dragged it on to the whole project because after I added the effect every single video had the chroma key effect. I’m not quite sure how I did it, so I have no idea how to remove it >.< It even appears on completely new video tracks. I really hope that someone can help me find a solution to this problem because I have been working on this project for months. I would appreciate it sooo much. -Ashley

    Hi,
You can check the Video Output effects (Tools – Video – Video Output FX). Also check the Media effects (Right click the media file in Project Media window and select Media FX menu item)

FX can also be applied at the track level so be sure to check there too.

FX can also be applied at the track level so be sure to check there too.

…and just to be complete. Video FX can be added in 4 places: (1) Media, (2) Event, (3) Track, (4) Master Video Bus. If the FX is being seen on new tracks, the most likely place is the Master Video Bus as Aleksey said. It’s the only place that affects all tracks.

I have the same problem in a sense. I took video on my iPhone and flipped the frame vertically to play two videos side by side. Now when I add a border it is added to the full frame not just the vertical clip… Can someone help?

You want to use the Pre/Post Toggle to apply the FX after the crop:
