  can you take shadows out of footage ?

  greetings…is there anyway to get shadows out of footage ?? I have some video were the lighting was not good and created shadow..anyway to improve this ??

  I use vegas 9 pro..thanks in advance for your help

  If the image is static you could use the Bezier mask tool in Pan/Crop to isolate it and lighten it up a bit. If it’s not static you would need a motion tracker to rotoscope the shadow in order to lighten it up but this would take hours of rotoscoping and additional software and might not look that good in the end anyway.
