June 2, 2010 at 10:33 pmI haven’t seen this. What codec do your source files use? What version of Vegas?

I don’t believe that Vegas Pro 8.1 claimed support for projects greater than 2Kx2K but I see that it does allow it when Vegas Pro 8.0 does not. I cannot reproduce this problem in Vegas Pro 8.1. How big are the JPEG’s? How much memory does your computer have? Red frames usually means Vegas either can’t interpret the footage or it doesn’t have enough resources to interpret the footage (i.e., running out of memory)

June 3, 2010 at 3:47 pmjpgs are typically 2x DVD.
4G RAM.
Background image is 2D, the remaining 10 are in 3D, some are cropped, some use a mask. All have different levels of opacity.Know I’m pushing Vegas hard. I did something like this for last year’s Christmas card, but not at 2x HD res. Created a card that almost filled the entire 6×4″ page, added the greeting on the bottom. Put Vegas Preview in Best, Full and saved as an image. Uploaded the image to Costco and had them print it (without one of their pre-made backgrounds). Turned out very cool.
I wanted to create another image but this time use it inside Vegas.
Thanks John.
