I know about that lens. Wide-angle is a concern and 16 isn’t wide enough for my liking right now. I prefer a pull zoom option that does not lock me into a given lens.

Have you considered a lens with internal power zoom? I find that easier for video vs photography. I’m not sure Sony has many good for low light situations. The 18-105mm f/4 with steady shot is decent.

All good points. The more I read, I worry about cooling if I needed to have something rendering or processing overnight etc. My 10 year old Mac pro worked for so long because I upgraded the processor to a 3.46 ghz 12 core and I didn’t hit a wall with apple “obsoleting” my tower and not allowing me on the latest OS for 9! years. I have a A6500 w/ 16-70 lens. I am mostly doing still photography with it and it works out wonderfully! I am getting into video and am wanting to smooth out the zooming of the lens. I am assuming some type of rigging, like those pull focus setups, to get smooth zooming. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t want to break the bank right now.

For a long time I was wondering how to jump to the next line at the edge of the composition. If I understood your code, when index = 49 (it will the 1st column of the 2nd line), index-1 = 48, myCol = 0, myRow = 1 and then the position[0] = 20 and position[1] = 60. That’s amazing.

You could draw the wavy lines as paths, trace them using ‘Create Nulls From Paths’ and then drive the size of the circle by the position of the resulting nulls?

Yeah, basically I was thinking of the complicated way. I wanted to link the circle to both top and bottom shapes and moving it on the x axis, so that as the space between the shapes increases the circles size up too

You increase the space by moving the shapes up and down? Because if you do this, things are not very complicated.

But if you move them left and right and the circle must stay in center and grow as the space gets bigger, thing get a lot more complicated.

That’s not how if()-then commands work. The syntax is
if (expression-that-evaluates-to-true-or-false){doStuff()}else{doOtherStuff()}

Your code has if(true) on the third line, and since true is the javascript constant boolean true the condition will always evaluate to true, so the first block of code will get executed.

get rid of the semicolon on line…

I’m attempting to export a 2 minute deliverable for broadcast. Edit was made at 29.97 DF (per the spec sheet). The timecode needs to be turned in at 00;02;00;00 and at 59.94 DF via XDCAM HD 720p60p MXF wrapper. And not a frame over.

And to finish answering the question about uploading video, you can of course use your favorite hosting service to uplaod the video to, and then embed it in the COW. I’m using imgur more and more these days, but your mileage will vary…
