I actually wanted to rescale it directly from AE without doing more conversions.
What about this situation?I will try it your way though.
Thanks for the answer. Again :p

If you do that, I think you can media manage the timeline converting the files to Pro Res (HQ). I have never tried it, but I think it is feasible. Let’s see if anyone here can confirm this.

I think I come a little bit late, but I wanted to give my two cents. I have had similar problems converting wmv and avi files on mac. I don’t think it is a matter of duration, but a matter of them being formats more common on PC.
I don’t know if you have tried it yet, but I could recommend you downloading FCPX’s free trial, import the wmv files and export on the format you want. FCPX’s export video settings are more limited than those of FCP7, but I am sure you will find a video codec that suits you well.
For the photo problems, if they are bigger than, let’s say, 2000×2000, try reducing them to that size. FCP7 doesn’t handle well resolutions bigger than 2K. Others have said it, but also try using only one video codec in the same timeline. Even if you have lots of videos on your hard drive, they will most likely be grouped in different bins, so if you have any h264 you will find them easily.
And watch out for the renders once they are done, because as weird as it might sound, they sometimes put frames where they don’t belong.
I was in a project and had similar problems. It made me look FCP7 with other eyes and realize I had to change the editing software…

I strongly recommend using Premiere CC, Avid or even FCPX instead.

I would recommend you to stop using Final Cut Pro and go to Premiere. You can easily do that using xml, and you will also spare yourself a lot of future headaches.
Just my opinion…

November 26, 2013 at 4:25 pm in reply to: Compositing an image into a handheld picture frameWell, I have just finished a project where I have had to do a lot of mocha tracking. It can be a real pain in the ass… Anyway, try adjusting every keyframe in both the track and adjust track panels, they both seem to work united towards the same end.
If this doesn’t work, once you import on AE you will be able to readjust the corners. Also, remember to put corner pin on a composition with the same aspect ratio as the space you want to put the photo into.

Well, it has taken me a long while, but I have finally understood the problem.
When I read that the picture to be implemented had to be on a pre comp with the same settings as the original, I was adding a 1920×1080 pre comp into the 1920×1080 original comp, resizing the pre comp as I saw fit. My mistake was the following:
The squares where I wanted to put my pre comp had a different size: 238×351 originally, but I have worked with 1190×1755 (238*5×351*5).
So, while my original composition was 1920×1080, the squares inside the frame I recorded were 238×351, and this is where I wanted to corner pin the photos. Now it its working perfectly, and it is understandable that a 1920×1080 pre comp was deformed when being put into a frame sized at 1190×1755.
Oh, the headaches I could have spared if I had understood this from the beginning… :o(
Anyway, thanks for the help ;o)

Hello,
No, it is not a text, but a photo.
Thanks for the help.

What kind of info would you need?
Anyway, I have tried what you have said, and the comp doesn’t line up. All the parameters are correct, so i guess I am doing something wrong from Mocha.
