To reiterate… copy all source files to a (USB) memory stick putting all files in the same folder. Sounds as simple as cleaning the cables doesn’t it? DO it. When you save the PPP, save to the same folder. Run the presentation from the stick. This should work for you.

I have used some “over the counter” brands that just don’t work well, or are inconsistent.
We use Taiyo Yuden or Ridata disks here at work; burning runs of a thousand with very few errors. -
Ask the client to come view the project on your system. While they are there educate them about playing back DVD’s on Computers versus an actual DVD player. I am guessing that your client viewed the DVD on a PC with an incorrect codec installed; ie windows media player suffers from this all the time.
You used quality DVDs right? Known to work on multiple players? -
Work in HDV then output to ProRes422. It just looks cleaner.

Todd although you are an eloquent writer your are dead wrong about the A1. I can tel;l you may not have shot with one, because if you had you would know it has latitude, and a plethora of options in colour matrices within it’s preset (one button selection of over 29 looks in camera)
I shot a piece this week using “Panalook2” by Steve Dempsey and it looks really close to the colour I was able to achieve with my DVX100, but in my opinion much much better.
I shoot everything in HD now (shooting with a preset in camera, for what look I need) and output from FCP in whatever format is required by the client. The HD output downrezed looks superior to anything I’ve shot with DVX.
I can see the benefit of a tapeless work flow, but miss nothing in review. -
Pair of hands is showing us
Untreated footage? That’s like asking someone to look at my E3’s undeveloped raw files, and expecting them to make a decision based on whether they have the time to download 175 meg file, and do the homework on it.
Oh wait a minute; it’s exactly like that.
Thanks again. -
Thank you. Appreciate it.

Not going to preach to the choir here, or rant about what I’ve read.
I don’t mean to dig, but go ahead, do a “search” for EX1 or ex-1 or HVX, and the search function of the COW returns no results. My point is that when someone new comes along looking for answers that have already been answered, show them the way; again.
When a guest in someones house it is sometimes not so easy to find where they keep the butter.
That said I too am looking at EX-1 and HVX. This year I will purchase one of these as a second to my DVX and maybe Magic Bullet for that if need be. -
I too have been looking. I’ve been shooting with a DVX100 for quite a while now. Not a fan of LCD/Plasma/HD. I still believe we’ve been hoodwinked into buying a product that is more beneficial to the companies that are selling us these “cheaper to ship/get rid off” displays.
I can’t wait t see what SLI?? will bring in the form of a small factor CRT. Not selling my DVX just yet, and still believe it doesn’t hurt to shot list (get familiar with your shoot).
IMHO.
HD stuff looks over processed on LCD, and panning just plain looks baaaaaddddd. Swoooosh there goes the background.Wayne Dupuis
