Dear Pat,
That is some serious “lab” work ahead of me.
Thx for the advice…I am not such a H.264 fan.

August 25, 2016 at 9:12 pm in reply to: Documentary filmed with various DSLR cameras and editing in MC7It is the second thing? Is there a way around it…special filter or application program?third party? or something in MC7.
. It is not so bad but when moving the camera you see it and it is not smooth…like left to right movement- panorama.
Mostly is made from hand the filming. -

August 24, 2016 at 7:29 pm in reply to: Documentary filmed with various DSLR cameras and editing in MC7Hello Michael,
1. All the footage is transcoded and mostly filmed in 25fps 1080p, no slow or fast motions.
2. Finishing in Media composer than goes in to Apple Motion 5.
3. Gopro hero 4 silver, 25 fps, 1080p, Protune on, flat colours. When the camera moves. Hand held on monopod.
4. All the files are in DnxHD 120, 25fps. Did it with Sorenson Squeeze. Not so worried for other footage just Gopro. It is a visualisation that I wanted to achieve. But this movement are not smooth. With stabilisation effect is great but with this problem that I mentioned.
Thanks for replaying,
Vasja

February 29, 2016 at 3:35 pm in reply to: Alert Message: “Segmentation Fault” in thread “Main Thread”, at address 0x0.Hello Nick,
I did all of above you mentioned and for now all o.k. But I have found that some still photos jpg can cause the problem to appear to. All the audio is now new. It is as you said audio glitch if I may refer to the gamers slang. It is not to underestimate the problem. So hope all worked out good for you and I suggest others to go step by step as you described if the problem appears.
Good day

Thanks Ford,
This are at the moment my settings with mic. Audio technica 70 pro.
MODE: Stereo
My setting at the INPUT:
Lo cut : MIC off, input off
comp/limiter: MIC COMP2(Vocal)
Monito: Off
1/2 Link: on
Level Auto: off
Mono mix: off
Phantom: Off (24V or 48V) The Lavalier handles between 11 -52V) DO I NEED PHANTOM POWER ON AND WHY?Lavalier has it own source of power.
MS matrix: offI had before on Mono mix to save time in Postproduction but the sound was week…When I switch it off it got really better more present. Some people say if mono mix is not on you have just one audio line that moves. The voice is now more present but the rec level has to be around 80.

January 26, 2016 at 4:29 pm in reply to: Alert Message: “Segmentation Fault” in thread “Main Thread”, at address 0x0.Reinstalling didn‘t help. But I noticed that just before loading the project and bins it crashed when it came to audio bin…I relocated audio files he was referring to so he could not connect and it works. Some problem with the bins and audio. Maybe corrupted audio…

June 24, 2014 at 2:24 pm in reply to: Avid Media Composer 7.0.3 on Mavericks – installation fails in the very end.I have the same problem…I formatted the disk and I reinstalled os mavericks 10.9.3. two times but the crash of the installation of media composer 7 continues.
I tried download manage and manually installation…I had to reinstall the media composer 7 because it was not performing good. I could not call for effect editor tool…it didn’t appear….A lot of AMA linked or imported material were corrupted with corrupted audio or the FSP didn’t want to work…
it worked somehow before the last update of the mavericks but then it had problems…Is there another way to install the mc 7.thx.
