I don’t think that there is a way for it to automatically adjust the keyframes to the outside edges of a transition. I do miss that from the Avid days.

Got it working.
Using Toast, rather than burning the Mac & PC format, I used the DVD-ROM UDF (Universal Disk Format) option in the formats menu. Disks will now mount and play correctly on a Windows based machine, including the Closed Caption info.Knew it was something simple…

Hi Dave.
No Telestream. Just used compressor to encode a standard MPeg2 Program Stream for broadcast. This is the same encoding settings I use for delivering Standard Definition spots for broadcast. It’s VBR with a top data rate of about 23Mb/Sec. All I did different was to add the .scc file to it before encoding. The files playback without issue, including the closed captioning, on my Mac using either Quicktime Pro7 or VLC Player. If I look at the file on the data DVD, in the Mac, it shows the correct 4.3Gb size. When I put the DVD in my (or any) Windows machine, the file on the DVD is showing only 1.99Gb. It will play, with captioning but only the first half of the show will play. This is the same exact DVD in both cases. For some reason, the entire file isn’t showing up or being accessed by the Windows computers. I’ve tried it on a machine running XP Professional, Vista and Windows 7. They all show the same information-1.99Gb. Its gotta be some Windows “gottcha” at work here.
There shouldn’t be a file-size limit to a data DVD similar to a disk formatted as FAT-32? The 1.99Gb size is a little suspect. The info is there on the file. The Windows machines just don’t recognize it.E=MC2+/-2db

I did burn the DVD using Toast with the tick box set for Mac & PC compatible.

Put your two clips on different tracks. Using keyframes in the Motion tab, set your move up as desired. Really very simple and easy.

They will want a 29.97fps or 59.94fps version of the spot

Or you might just try putting a sheet of 85B or similar gel over the monitor to bring the color temp down. Rosco has a variety of gels just for this purpose.They also have the ND variety as for use over exterior windows when shooting tungsten inside.

Export without rendering your timeline first. Export to a format that supports an alpha channel.

Don’t export a reference movie unless they have all of the original footage on their computer and the proper software to link it all up. Give them a self contained movie instead. H.264 is pretty universal and good quality as well.
