Sad to say, this is going to be a tough one to solve with the info given….
You only show a tiny part of a frame, and only describe this as a “problem”… but you don’t tell us what the problem actually is. What are you seeing that you shouldn’t be seeing? Or what aren’t you seeing that you should be? Or what is incorrect? I.e., what’s the problem?
We might be able to help you in here, but we really have zero info to go on so far.
Can you shed any more light?

I said earlier I’ve had cards fail twice…. make that three times now.
Just got back from an early morning shoot (shooting Canon C300PL), and one of my cards has failed. Fortunately, I was shooting dual cards.
This was an irreplaceable one-time event I was shooting for inclusion in a television commercial. Had it not been for the backup, I would have been screwed.

They don’t fail often… but even once ever is too often.
I always always shoot dual cards. I’ve had cards fail twice (and one of those was the very last shoot I was on)… and in both cases the backup card saved my bacon.
For me it’s a no brainer.

For anyone wondering how well this might or might not actually work…
Last night I was down at my better half’s sculpture studio at her university… where they have many push brooms.
I quickly strapped my phone on top of one of them with a piece of gaffer tape, and took it for a drive…

Couple of things to note…
What looks like “snow” outside is due to the fact that this was a dirty broom. This is a sculpture studio, so there was loads of white plaster dust in the broom which kicked up on rough surfaces (and the phone’s LED light was on, which bounced it back). With a new clean broom that wouldn’t be an issue.
Secondly, it is REALLY stable. You have to be careful with up-and-down and side-to-side motions of the handle, but that’s up to the operator’s skill (or lack thereof)… this was my first (and only) run.
What was surprisingly stable was the travel over different surfaces…. I went from the smooth studio floor, across a rough floor grate, onto rougher concrete outside, to pebbled concrete, to brick. It was all just about equally smooth, and smooth transitions between the surfaces… and this was just with the phone hard-strapped to the top of the broom with gaffer tape… no foam or dampening of any kind.
As Larry David would say, “Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good.”

This will be an obvious suggestion, and I’m sure this is not your problem… but thought I’d better mention it JUST in case…
When attempting to close the slot door on the C300, are you sure that slot’s little “eject” button is in its depressed position? If it is not, it is still possible to insert a card, but it will not be possible to close the door. And of course, without the door closed, that slot will not be active.
When ejecting a card, of course after you open the door the first step is to press the eject button so that it “pops out,” and then when you depress it again that pushes the card out. I’ve found it’s easy to not press it deeply enough to re-engage to the fully-depressed position although the card is still pushed out… but when that happens the button stays popped out and you can’t close the door.
As I said, this is super obvious so is no doubt not your problem… but I still had to mention it.

Well firstly… this is a general Canon Cameras forum, not a C300 forum.
Secondly, please forgive me if I do take the wording of that as a bit of an insult. Considering both the current and many fine legacy cameras in use, there are literally dozens of models of Canon cameras in use that all fall under the purview of the “Canon Cameras Forum.” To question my position as a forum host (which is both a thankless and powerless position) because I can’t readily answer one question about one feature on one particular camera is, frankly… well, insulting.
I can assure you that I “know how a C300 works,” own one, and use it every day…. but even if I didn’t there is no need to question that in a snarky tone.
I also own/use five other Canon cameras of different models. I can assure you I don’t know every single little thing about each of them either. No one does.

I could have initially answered, but my answer would have simply been “I don’t know.” Since I, like many people, get email alerts that I stop whatever I’m doing and check when there is a post in one of the several forums here I host I personally find it a little annoying when someone chimes in to basically say they have nothing to contribute but feel the need to answer anyway…. so I didn’t do that.
I personally shoot virtually everything in 24p (maybe once in a blue moon I’ll shoot 30p), but I don’t think I’ve ever even once had need for the C300 to shoot 60i… nor ever had need for HDI output…. so, as incomprehensible as it might be, there are a couple of little minor things I simply do not know firsthand.

Then test it. Pick up the camera, plug in a cable, and see what signal you are getting out of the SDI port. There may be a menu setting where you have to activate the port or assign what signal it gets. I don’t know because I have never had any reason to know that nor expect to ever need that feature. I’m sure you can look it up in the manual.

Well, as one of the long-time so-called moderators in this forum (as well as a C300PL user) I’ll give you an answer and suggestion…
1. I don’t know.
2. Test it, it will take just a couple of seconds.
Sorry you feel ignored and that this forum is lame… but you have to understand that the Canon forum has very little traffic in it (much less than many of the other forums), AND you are asking about one of the higher-end cameras that many members do not use or have access to, AND you are asking about a feature that very few people would ever have any need to use (I personally have never had need to even uncap the HD-SDI port, and I use the camera every day), therefore they simply do not know.
But, I cannot imagine why the HD-SDI port would not output the 60i signal. That’s pretty much what it is there for.
