I don’t know of a resource like the one you have requested, but what I can tell you is that the Brainstorm feature directly inside After Effects is invaluable.

You can set a few simple parameters and AE will automatically spit out a bunch of iterations of a given effect. It doesn’t stop there either. You can use it to dream up variations of just about anything you can keyframe.
